The Computational Systems Biology and ~Bio-Medicine Laboratory (CSBB Lab for short) of [[Department of Computer Science|http://www.cs.nthu.edu.tw/english/intro.html]], [[National Tsing Hua University|http://www.nthu.edu.tw/index-e/index.htm]], is founded and directed by [[Prof. Tang]].

For the coming Bio-tech. age, NTHU aims to bring together the research power of biology, mathematics, statistics, computer science, chemistry, and physics. NTHU plans to promote collaboration within the its area and beyond. 

Traditional approach of biology was not sufficient to morden research. CSBB Lab dedicated to investigate problems in molecular biology by applying computational and mathematical techniques. 

CSBB Lab consists of four WorkGroups; they cover fields of computer sicence and biology, e.g., analysis and design of algorithms, comparative genomics, systems biology. There is [[a slides|Intro.ppt]] which introduced our research in recent years

Biocomputing is an multidisciplinary study of biology and computer science for the theory and application of computational methods in problems of biological problems, e.g., sequence alignment, protein structure alignment, protein structure prediction, prediction of gene expression and protein-protein interactions.
